Hope [Trains]

.

Envision: Sonia and her family fled from their home country seeking safety from persecution.  She desires to provide for her family, but with no money for education and job skills not suitable for employment in a city, what can she do?
The [Create] Project is the vocational training and employment program of Project 658.  Through partnerships, the [create] project provides refugees and immigrants in need of employment the opportunity to learn new skills while also earning fair wages.  Employees are taught how to sew various size and shape bags, computer cases, purses, and wallets out of vinyl banners and billboards no longer being used for their original purpose.
Through learning a new trade, the participants are equipped with a marketable skill for possible future employment beyond the [create] project.  The hope for this program is that it can grow into a sustainable form of full-time employment, thus providing the employees with dignity through earning a living.
